College of Central Florida

This course is offered through the Levy Center, which is part of the College of Central Florida Institute-Corporate, Conference and Continuing Education Services. The program curriculum is delivered through labs and lectures. You also complete a clinical experience. Upon graduation, you are eligible to sit for the state's CNA exams.

Indian River State College

Your clinical experience and lab practice is supervised by a registered nurse (RN) instructor.

Certificate Program in Florida

Saint Johns River State College

In this program, you may choose to complete the long-term care option, which consists of one course in nursing assistant or the articulated option, which includes two courses in health career basics and orderly and nurse aide. Topics covered in the program include employability skills, CPR, pet-facilitated therapy, nutrition, gerontology, ethical and legal responsibilities, medical terminology and interpersonal skills.

  • Program Length: Long-term care: 120 hours; articulate: 165 hours
