Clinical experience may be obtained locally. However, you will need to travel to Anchorage to gain additional clinical experience. The University of Alaska Southeast offers in-state tuition rates to out-of-state residents for up to four credits. Beyond those four credits, tuition increases to out-of-state rates.

The University of Alaska Anchorage offers a bachelor's of science program to undergraduate students and students who have already obtained a license as a Registered Professional Nurse. The Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program can prepare you to earn certification as an advanced nurse practitioner through either the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners or the American Nurses Association.
