The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) allows access to content for about 2,200 classes online for topics such as architecture, history, political science, engineering and physics. Free online educational materials are on offer for courses dating back several years, and some classes taught as recently as in 2011 are available.
Open Yale Courses Free Online Education Program
Yale University offers recorded lectures from recent classes for free over the Internet. Yale mainly provides access to liberal arts topics like literature, philosophy and history, but it also allows people to see or hear lectures on astronomy and biomedical engineering.
