However, be aware that there isn't a national standard for certification, so you should do research into potential certification organizations.

The Association of Certified Professional Wedding Consultants (ACPWC) offers certification if you complete its wedding consultant training course, become a member of the organization and remain in good standing for one year, consult for six weddings and receive positive letters of recommendations. ACPWC also has a higher certification level that requires you to work on twelve more weddings, receive eight additional letters of recommendation and complete a wedding consulting project.
