Northcentral Technical College's phlebotomy certificate program holds approval from the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS), one of only 3 schools in Wisconsin with this designation. In Milwaukee Area Technical College's diploma program, you complete 7 courses and a clinical practicum. As with other phlebotomy programs, this training teaches you to perform venipunctures, capillary punctures, and special types of blood collection. You take courses in psychology, communications, and computer applications along with the medical coursework. After completing this NAACLS-approved program, you have 18 credits that count toward the school's healthcare services management associate degree.


Career Information for Wisconsin Phlebotomists
