Finger Lakes Community College

The CNA program at Finger Lakes Community College is a course offered through the Professional Development and Continuing Education Office. Topics you'll study include anatomy, infection control, patient safety and nutrition. You will get hands-on practice in moving patients and helping them with activities of daily living, such as bathing and feeding. You may also consider the college's joint certificate program that can train you as a CNA and home health aide.

The program includes more than 90 hours of classroom instruction and 30 hours of clinical experience in a long-term care facility.

In addition to the 90 hours of lab and classroom instruction, you'll complete a 30-hour externship in a health care facility to gain experience working with real patients.
