Gavilan College

At Gavilan, you can earn a Certificate of Achievement in Cosmetology through a 48-credit course that qualifies you to take the state cosmetologist's examination. You'll learn to use chemicals to relax and permanently wave hair, perform manicures, analyze nail conditions, treat skin problems and perform facials. You can opt to take an additional 12 hours of general education courses in English, science, social sciences and the arts to earn your associate's degree.
