Foothill College

All EMT courses meet at Foothill's Middlefield campus in Palo Alto, CA, approximately 40 miles south of San Francisco. You can complete the emergency medical technician program in three quarters or less. The emergency response class is a prerequisite to the EMT course and teaches you to sustain life, minimize pain and assist in an injury or sudden illness. The EMT-Basic courses instruct you in basic life support, including advanced trauma care, extrication from the scene of an accident, childbirth and other pre-hospital care skills.
