What Levels of Entrepreneurship Degrees Can I Find Online?

You can earn both undergraduate and graduate degrees online. A typical associate's degree program teaches skills like finance, marketing, business software proficiency and management. You'll also learn how to create business plans and loan application packages. The degree program usually takes about 18 months to complete.

A Bachelor of Arts in Entrepreneurship online program gives you the opportunity to choose a specialization, like logistics, warehouse management or transportation management. You can often earn a bachelor's degree within four years. You'll learn how to assess your competition, write a business plan and assess risk in any business. The program also teaches you how to launch and finance your own business.

Schools require you to have a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Undergraduate degree programs look for students with a strong background in English and math. Any previous college coursework you've finished should yield a minimum 2.0 grade point average (GPA). Some schools encourage previous small business work experience.

You'll need to earn a bachelor's degree before applying to graduate programs. You might be asked to take the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) and submit your scores. Schools may also require letters of recommendation proving you're capable of completing graduate-level courses.

You'll use a teaching platform, such as BlackBoard or Angel, to access coursework, faculty and technical support. You must have a computer with high-speed Internet access, along with an email address that you check regularly.
