What You Need to Know

Learning to speak, read and write Japanese can help you learn more about an ancient and innovative culture. Beginning and advanced online courses are available to teach you grammar, vocabulary and conversational skills. You'll also learn important socio-cultural information and practice using Japanese writing systems such as Kanji. Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)

MIT offers non-credit courses for various skill levels through the school's OpenCourseWare (OCW) system. While most course materials are available through a series of Web pages, you'll need a QuickTimePlayer to download audio and video files. What Can I Learn?
