What Are the Prerequisites for a Master's Degree Program in Retail Marketing?
Master of Business Administration (MBA) programs with retail marketing management or retail concentrations are available, but they're uncommon. An additional option would be to pursue the MBA in Marketing, which is widely available and may incorporate coursework focused on retail marketing.
At a minimum, you will need a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university to be accepted into an MBA program. Many programs also have a minimum acceptable undergraduate GPA requirement, which can vary by school. However, if your undergraduate degree is in a business-related field, this requirement may not pertain to you.
In addition, you may be asked to take the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT), Graduate Record Exam (GRE) or the Miller Analogies Test (MAT). Other requirements can include a statement of purpose and letters of recommendation.

What Can I Expect From This Program?
You should expect to be studying for your MBA for at least two years if you're pursuing this degree full-time. The retail marketing portion of the curriculum will primarily focus on topics such as advertising, market research, sales, brand marketing, sales promotion and retailing.
