Hampshire College

A 5-college consortium made up of Amherst, Hampshire, Mt. Holyoke and Smith colleges, as well as the University of Massachusetts, offers this program. You may take courses in the art of peace and war, wealth and poverty, atomic history, global resource politics, international organizations and prevention of violence. Conflict courses discuss child soldiers, resource conflict and conflict diamonds.

The program includes a trip to India every-other year during the winter session to study Gandhi's philosophy of non-violence.
