What Types of National Safety and Security Ph.D. Degrees are Offered Online?

Online and low-residency Ph.D. (Doctor of Philosophy) programs specifically in national safety and security are not available in the United States as of 2016. However, Ph.D. in Business Administration and Ph.D. in Public Policy and Administration programs with concentrations in homeland security are offered online by a limited number of universities. Online Doctor of Management programs with similar areas of study are also available from some schools. What Can I Do with My Degree?

After completing a doctoral program in emergency management or homeland security, you could seek work in the government or the military, such as the Department of Defense or the Department of Homeland Security. You may also be eligible for a teaching position at the university level.
