In May 2014, the BLS reported that transportation, storage and distribution managers earned a median annual salary of $85,400. The highest median salary was earned by transportation, storage and distribution managers in the pipeline transportation of crude oil industry. These workers had a median salary of $149,260 in 2012. The BLS projects that jobs in this career field will increase at a slower-than-average rate of 5% from 2012 to 2022. The warehousing and storage industry had the highest level of employment for these workers in 2012.
