According to the Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture, there are only three schools that offer accredited professional degree programs in architecture online as of May 2019. These online programs can be completed mostly online, but students are typically required to attend one or more on-campus residency experiences. Boston Architectural College
Boston Architectural College offers a National Architecture Accrediting Board (NAAB)-accredited Master of Architecture program with a distance learning track. While the coursework for this program can be completed online, students must attend an 8-day residency on campus at the beginning of each semester. This professional degree program can be completed in 5-7 semesters, and students are typically prepared to sit for the Architect Registration Examination (A.R.E.) upon completion. Courses include architectural technology, professional development and architecture studios.
Lawrence Technological University
This private, not-for-profit school in Michigan also offers an NAAB-accredited Master of Architecture program. This program can be completed in as little as 15 months, and graduates are prepared for state licensing exams. Students can complete all coursework online, but need to visit campus to complete a Critical Practice Studio during the summer. Online students must complete 15 credits of core architecture courses, 12 credits of design studio/thesis courses and nine credits of electives.
