University of Cincinnati
The University of Cincinnati is a large university serving over 35,000 students and offering more than 300 programs of study. U.S. News & World Report ranked the university in the top 10 for Best Online Graduate Nursing Programs in 2016. The online Master of Science in Nursing program has several different specialties to choose from, including a family nurse practitioner option.
This is a 2-year, full-time distance learning program, though students can also opt to conduct their studies part-time. In addition to coursework, students will also complete clinicals with the help of volunteer faculty, know as preceptors. Graduates from this program will be eligible to take the ANCC and AANP certification exams.
