Students at Angelo State University can start out with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree and earn a Master of Science in Nursing with a family nurse practitioner track or a nurse educator track. Students in this program will need to take 49 credits' worth of courses before graduating with their MSN degree.

Midwestern State University

Midwestern State University offers two different concentrations for students with a BSN working to earn an MSN degree, and these are family nurse practitioner and psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner tracks. Students will need to take a minimum of 48 credits prior to graduation.

McMurry University

Students holding a BSN degree can earn an MSN in Education by completing two courses a semester. The school also offers an MSN with a family nurse practitioner track. Both are hybrid programs.

Texas Christian University

University of Houston

Students will need to take between 42 and 47 credits to be able to graduate with their Master of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Houston.

University of Texas, Austin

The University of Texas, Austin offers a BSN to MSN program in a variety of different concentration areas, including adult gerontology clinical nurse specialist, family nurse practitioner, primary care pediatric nurse practitioner, psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, and leadership in diverse settings. Students can complete these programs in as little as a year and a half if they are enrolled at full-time status.

Prairie View A&M University

Students at Prairie View A&M University can enter into a BSN to MSN program with a concentration in the family nurse practitioner, nurse administration, or nurse education field. Students will need to completed between 42 and 53 credits prior to graduation.

Tarleton State University

Tarleton State University offers two different concentrations for BSN program graduates who are working to earn an MSN degree. These programs require students to take between 39 and 42 credits, which should take students a minimum of two and a half years.

Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center

Students who already have a BSN can attend the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center to earn their MSN degree in one of nine concentrations, including nursing administration, nursing education, nursing informatics, acute care pediatric nurse practitioner, family nurse practitioner, adult gerontology acute care nurse practitioner, nurse midwifery, pediatric primary care nurse practitioner, and psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner.

Lubbock Christian University

Lubbock Christian University offers a BSN to MSN in education and leadership that consists of 35 credits' worth of classes. The university also offers a 46-credit MSN with a family nurse practitioner track.
