John Carroll University has programs for educational and school psychology, preparing graduates for doctoral programs and advanced roles. Kent State University at Kent

Kent State University offers three school psychology programs and three educational psychology programs at their Kent campus. The PhD in School Psychology consists of 91 credit hours (60 credit hours post-master's degree); the EdS in School Psychology consists of 55 credit hours and requires students to have completed an MEd; the MEd in School Psychology consists of 30 credit hours. Students can also purse a Master of Arts in Educational Psychology (39 credit hours), a PhD in Educational Psychology (75 or 108 credit hours), or an MEd in Educational Psychology (30 to 33 credit hours).

Miami University - Oxford

Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, offers both an educational psychology program and a school psychology program. The educational psychology (MEd) program consists of 30 credit hours and enhances student comprehension in learning and developmental topics, while the MS/EdS in School Psychology program consists of 82 credit hours and leads to licensure as a school psychologist.

University of Cincinnati - Main Campus

Students can pursue one of two graduate programs in school psychology at University of Cincinnati's main campus through a scientist-practitioner model curriculum. University of Dayton

The MSE/EdS program at University of Dayton consists of 82 credit hours and awards both a Master of Science in Education in School Psychology and an Educational Specialist in School Psychology degree. Full-time students can complete the required coursework in two years and will then complete a ten-month internship to complete the program. Students also have the option to participate in special events, work as graduate assistants, and complete coursework abroad during the summer semester.

University of Toledo

The educational psychology programs at University of Toledo explore developmental, motivational, and cognitive learning mechanisms and focus on various educational environments, including school districts. Students can pursue a Master of Education in Educational Psychology (MEd, 30 credit hours) or a PhD in Foundations of Education with a concentration in educational psychology (61 credit hours).

Youngstown State University

Youngstown State University has a Educational Specialist (EdS) in School Psychology program that takes three years to complete. During the first year students focus primarily on courses required for a Master of Education (MEd) in Intervention Services, followed by a year of residency and EdS courses and a third year involving a paid internship in practice. Admittance Requirements for School Psychology Graduate Programs in Ohio

All graduate programs in school psychology require students to have completed at least a bachelor's degree; some programs may require the undergraduate degree to be in an education or psychology field. Education specialist and doctoral programs may also require students to have completed a master's degree. Many schools require students to have a specific GPA (such as 2.70 or 3.2), but may allow a lower GPA with a qualifying score on the GRE or another entrance exam.
