General Program Admission Requirements

Getting into a JD/MBA dual-degree program requires applying and being accepted into business and law school concurrently. This means that applicants must meet the minimum conditions for admission to both schools within the college or university. For admission to each respective school you should be prepared to submit exam scores for the Law School Admissions Test (LSAT), the Graduate Record Exam (GRE), and/or the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT). In addition, schools may require applicants to have professional work experience, as well as provide professional and academic letters of reference.

By transferring coursework between both programs, earning a dual degree as a Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration enables you to complete two degrees in about as much time as it would take to earn only one. Universities in Florida make such a reality possible by offering Juris Doctor (also known as a Doctor of Jurisprudence) and Master of Business Administration degrees in on-campus, online, and hybrid formats.
