Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Connecticut

Several schools in Connecticut offer programs for a Master of Business Administration. Programs may consist of online, on-campus, or hybrid delivery methods and enable students to choose an area of concentration within an MBA program. Albertus Magnus College

Students can pursue a Master of Business Administration at Albertus Magnus College through a flexible MBA program which has online and/or on-campus course options. The program consists of 48 credit hours with 8-week accelerated classes on various business topics including legal issues and global management. Students can choose a concentration in general management, accounting, healthcare management, leadership, human resource management, or project management.

Central Connecticut State University

Central Connecticut State University has an MBA program that features online and evening courses with part-time and full-time options. Students can choose a concentration in accounting, finance, business analytics, supply chain analytics, or choose to create a customized curriculum with their allotted electives. The program consists of 30 credit hours, and students can also pursue a graduate certificate in supply chain analytics.

Fairfield University

The Master of Business Administration program at Fairfield University consists of 36 credit hours and has a generalized business focus area. The curriculum takes students through four modules of management which are decision metrics, insights & analytics, ethical leadership, and strategic decision making, and students can then choose a concentration in one of the following areas: accounting (with an optional taxation specialization), finance, information systems & business analytics, marketing (optional specialization in marketing analytics), or management (optional specializations in global strategy/innovation/entrepreneurship or strategic human resources). Fairfield also offers an optional certificate in accounting, entrepreneurship, and marketing.

Quinnipiac University

The MBA program at Quinnipiac University consists of 46 credit hours and can be completed through full or part-time study on campus, online, or in a hybrid format. Students earn their Master of Business Administration in as few as two years and choose a concentration in finance, supply chain management, health care management, or create a customized curriculum with a variety of business and leadership electives. Quinnipiac University also offers a 111-credit JD/MBA program.

Sacred Heart University

Sacred Heart University offers both a part-time and full-time MBA program at their two campuses which take 12 to 24 months to complete. Students will complete 36 credit hours and can choose an MBA concentration in accounting, finance, business analytics, management, or marketing (some concentrations are only available at one of the two campuses). Students may also add a graduate certificate in leadership, accounting, human resource management, business analytics, digital marketing, core business skills, or corporate finance.

Southern Connecticut State University

The Master of Business Administration program at Southern Connecticut State University consists of 17 classes with classes offered one night per week with some Saturday and online options. Students can choose an MBA concentration of finance, healthcare administration, accounting, international business, marketing, or management. The school also offers an 18-month accelerated MBA program that requires students to attend class on Saturdays (four times each term) and online.

University of Bridgeport

University of Bridgeport has an MBA program that requires students to complete at least 36 credit hours through online, evening, weekend, or weekday courses. Students can choose any one of the following MBA concentrations within their program: accounting, finance, analytics intelligence, human resources management, marketing, or management.

University of Connecticut

The full-time MBA program at the University of Connecticut can be completed in two years, and students can also choose a part-time option to take one or two classes each semester instead. Students can choose an MBA concentration of business analytics, digital marketing strategy, financial analysis & investments, or general business/custom. Students may choose to enter the executive MBA program instead and earn their Master of Business Administration in 20 months through a cohort-based program. The University of Connecticut also offers 12 different MBA dual degrees including financial risk management and international studies.

University of New Haven

University of New Haven has an MBA program that is available as a full-time or part-time program with courses available on-campus and online. Students are required to complete 34 to 44.5 credit hours and can choose a concentration in general business administration, business analytics, global supply chain management, management finance, strategic leadership, human resource management, financial analysis (STEM certified), or data analytics (STEM certified). Students with qualifying professional experience can alternatively complete the executive MBA program which consists of six modules rather than standard courses and credit hours. The University of New Haven also offers an MBA/Master of Public Administration.

University of Hartford

At the University of Hartford, students can earn a Master of Business Administration in around two years by completing 12 courses (36 credit hours). Students can choose an MBA concentration in finance, business analytics, accounting, healthcare management, international business, marketing, management, project management, or supply chain management. Students can also pursue a graduate certificate in one of the MBA concentration areas or pursue a dual degree of MBA/MS of Accounting & Taxation or MBA/Master of Engineering.
