University of Utah
At the University of Utah, accounting master's degree students can choose to complete their program part time or full time (with day and evening class options). The university offers specialization tracks in taxation, auditing, and managerial accounting. Students can also pursue accounting information systems tracks and earn a dual graduate certificate in information systems or business analytics.
Utah Valley University
The Master of Accountancy program at Utah Valley University prepares students to sit for the Utah Certified Public Accountant (CPA) examination. Graduates are prepared to pursue entry-level positions as accountants or continue on to take the Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), or Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) examinations.

Admissions Requirements for an Accounting Master's Degree in Utah
To apply to one of Utah's master's degree programs in accounting, students must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited university. Some programs require students to have a bachelor's degree in accounting, while others offer a foundational course sequence for students who wish to move into accounting with a degree in an unrelated field. Many programs require students to send in GRE or GMAT test scores; however, these scores may be waived for students with a high GPA or relevant work experience. Applicants send in their official transcripts, letters of recommendation, and a statement of purpose/essay. International students from non-English speaking countries must submit TOEFL scores.
