University of Wisconsin-Madison

The University of Wisconsin-Madison offers customizable degree plans as students can pursue a traditional Master of Social Work (MSW) degree program through the School of Social Work or earn a dual-degree in law, public health, pharmaceutical science, or veterinary medicine. Students who opt for a traditional MSW can pursue an independent research project or a master's thesis, and they also have the option to choose from one of the school's concentrations in mental health, aging, health, or child, youth, and family welfare (CYFW).

University of Wisconsin-Green Bay

Students at the Green Bay campus of the University of Wisconsin can enroll in the school's MSW program, which focuses on social justice, leadership, and multicultural practice in order to prepare graduates for careers in social welfare and human services. Students can enroll in the advanced generalist track or further specialize their education by selecting from one of the program's four specializations: school social work, child welfare, clinical mental health, or student-defined.

University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee

University of Wisconsin-Whitewater

The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater's MSW program caters to students of all backgrounds by offering an advanced standing track (for students who have a bachelor's in social work) and a non-advanced standing track (for those without a background in social work). Students in the advanced track can bypass many of the foundation courses and complete the degree with 32 credits, while candidates who lack prior experience will start by covering the fundamentals and earn 58 credits in total.

University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire
