Metropolitan State University of Denver

You can enroll in either Metropolitan State University of Denver's 36-credit, advanced standing program if you have a bachelor's degree in social work or the traditional, 60-credit social work program if you have a bachelor's degree in an unrelated field. Both of the master's programs offer either full-time enrollment or part-time enrollment, with full-time students completing 15 credits each semester and part-time students completing 6-9 credits each semester, along with the options for mixed traditional or distance learning classes.

University of Denver

The University of Denver's main campus has a 2-year, traditional Master of Social Work program and a 4-semester, advanced standing Master of Social Work program that both have eight concentrations to choose from: aging services and policy; child welfare; children and youths: risks and healthy development; family systems practice; health and wellness; mental health; organizational leadership and policy practice; and sustainable development and global practice. The university also offers a distance learning master's program with a concentration in mental health and trauma, along with a Four Corners master's program located in Durango, Colorado, that has a concentration in advanced social work practice, which is geared toward work in tribal communities and rural areas.

Colorado State University - Fort Collins

Colorado State University - Pueblo

The Master of Social Work program at Colorado State University - Pueblo requires full-time enrollment and has a specialized option if you have a bachelor's degree in social work or a generalist option if you have an unrelated bachelor's degree, with the generalist program requiring two years of foundational coursework. Coursework for this master's program is offered primarily every other weekend at the location in Colorado Springs for Saturday classes and Sunday classes held at the main location in Pueblo, with the exception of some distance learning classes.
