The following article outlines which schools in LA can be applied to without a GMAT score. Schools offering Business degrees can also be found in these popular choices.

Comparing Master of Business Administration (MBA) Programs with No GMAT Required in LA, CA

Pepperdine University

Pepperdine Graziadio Business School offers both full and part-time MBA programs for students with potential GMAT waivers in certain circumstances. For full-time study, applicants must apply for the accelerated 12-month MBA program and have three years of full-time, related work experience. Candidates must also have an undergraduate degree with a GPA of 3.0 or above. Those wishing to apply for a waiver with a part-time MBA at Pepperdine also must have three years of full-time professional work experience, along with a qualifying undergraduate degree.

Pepperdine offers an Executive MBA (EMBA) to those applicants who have seven years of outstanding work experience in an executive role. An organizational chart and a letter of recommendation must be submitted with the application. The Executive MBA focuses on global business and includes two international research excursions to meet companies in other countries. The program consists of five-trimesters over 19-months in which classes meet once every three weeks.

University of Southern California

At USC's Marshall School of Business, candidates are able to apply for an Executive MBA without supplying a GMAT. Advertised for mid-career professionals, the 22-month program offers a cohesive curriculum that unifies theoretical topics into real-world scenarios. The program is set up so that it allows students to balance their careers and studies while meeting just two times a month, on Fridays and Saturdays. Applicants are required to submit two essays (a third essay submission is optional), a letter of recommendation and a professional résumé.

University of California - Los Angeles

UCLA has created a collaborative Executive MBA with the National University of Singapore (NUS), which offers six intensive residential classes spread over 15 months. Lessons take place across four countries: the USA (Los Angeles), Singapore, India and China; offering a genuinely global-business experience. UCLA-NUS admissions look for applicants who have ten years of work experience in a relevant field and who hold a current executive position. To be considered for the Executive MBA without a GMAT, it is advised that prospective students have evidence of previous academic study with a strong focus on quantitative and logical reasoning skills.

Loyola Marymount University

LMU offers both traditional and Executive MBAs to candidates who do not necessarily hold a strong GMAT score. The Executive MBA is a 20-month program which meets once per week. LMU admissions consider applicants with significant work experience, career accomplishments and accompanying letters of recommendation and only in some cases request a GMAT score.

LMU's traditional MBA admissions take a holistic view of a candidate, while offering to consider an applicant's stronger characteristics, such as work experience or previous academic achievement, in lieu of above-average GMAT scores. The flexible program is designed to create a core set of business practice foundations in its students in areas such as accounting, strategic management and global economy. Students can complete the traditional MBA at LMU in 21, 24 or 36-month blocks.
