Generally speaking, a bachelor's degree in nursing from an NLNAC or CCNE-accredited program is the minimum requirement for admission to these M.S.N. programs; some programs also allow applicants who have passed an accredited M.S.N. bridge program. Additionally, a minimum GPA and/or minimum hours of coursework in subjects like statistics are also mandatory. Many schools prefer applicants who have a few years of clinical or volunteer experience in nursing and registered nursing licensure.
