Online Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Michigan
Bachelor graduates can earn a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at one of several schools in Michigan in two years or less through online coursework, and can often customize their program with an area of concentration.
Individuals with a bachelor's degree and an undergraduate GPA of at least 3.0 could earn a Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Administration online by completing 36 credit hours, and those with a business degree may be able to waive some of the MBA course requirements. Adrian College also offers a 3 + 2 program for students who do not yet have a bachelor's degree, enabling them to earn both a BBA and an MBA in around five years.
The online MBA program at Andrews University consists of 33 credit hours and can often be completed in one year of full-time study. The program offers five entry points throughout the year and allows students to select four elective classes based on their interests. Andrews University also offers an MBA/MSW (social work) dual degree. Students who did not complete their bachelor's degree in a business field will be required to complete an additional 13 hours of prerequisite courses.
Baker College has an online MBA program that consists of 36 to 39 credit hours and allows students to choose a concentration in accounting, general business administration, business intelligence, cloud security risk management, healthcare management, finance, information systems, human resource management, or leadership studies. All programs consist of 8 core courses including finance, marketing, global strategy, and organizational behavior.
The MBA program at Cleary University can be completed entirely online in 22 months, and features accelerated 7-week classes (one at a time) with a one week break between each. Students will complete a total of 11 courses (33 credit hours) and can earn an MBA focused on health care leadership, analytics, technology, & innovation, or global leadership.
Concordia University - Ann Arbor
The Ann Arbor campus of Concordia University has a fully-online MBA program that consists of 39 credit hours: 24 credits of core coursework and 15 credits of varied or concentrated electives. Students can transfer up to six credits from previous coursework to decrease their program time, and those with professional experience may waive the prerequisite course. Students can select one or more of 15 MBA concentrations including management information systems (STEM), strategic marketing, public administration, and international business.
The online MBA program at Cornerstone University can be completed in 78 weeks by taking one course at a time, and requires a total of 38 credit hours. Students will take core courses such as quantitative analysis, marketing strategies, and economics, and can choose a concentration of finance, global business, project management, or health care.
Kettering University has a 40-credit-hour MBA program that awards graduates with a Master of Business Administration and a certificate in their concentration area. Students can pursue an MBA and certificate in operations management, global leadership, healthcare management, or supply chain management (level 1 or 2). Kettering also enables students to complete an additional four courses to earn an MBA and a Master of Science in Engineering Management or an MS in Operations Management.
Lawrence Technological University
At Lawrence Technological University, students who earned a 3.0 GPA or higher in their undergraduate studies can earn a Master of Business Administration in less than two years by completing 36 credit hours of coursework. Students may select various electives (3 allotted) or choose a concentration in finance, cybersecurity, project management, or information technology. Students can also earn a certificate online in project management or cybersecurity by completing one or more additional courses.
Olivet College has an online MBA program that consists of 48 credit hours and a concentration in insurance and is open to those who have previous professional experience. Students will take 16 courses including insurance & risk management, corporate accounting, ethics & leadership, and business & insurance law.
The online MBA program at Northwood University takes an average of 2 years and has an optional on-site capstone course at the end of the 36-credit-hour curriculum. Northwood also offers a customized two-year executive MBA program which is only open to General Motors employees.
