Bradley University

Registered nurses who hold a nursing diploma, an associate's degree in nursing, or a non-nursing bachelor's degree can earn an MSN through Bradley University. The MSN can be concentrated in Family Nurse Practitioner and completed in less than four years, or in Nursing Administration, which can take as little as two years to complete.

DePaul University

The RN to MSN program at DePaul University is available to registered nurses who have at least an associate's degree in nursing, and those who have a bachelor's degree in any field may be able to transfer some courses and decrease the time it takes to complete their degree. The MSN program takes two to four years and is offered online, except for clinical practicum, and can be specialized in Adult-Gerontological Nurse Practitioner, Family Nurse Practitioner, Nursing Administration, or Nursing Education.

Elmhurst College

Elmhurst College has a direct RN to MSN program for registered nurses who have a bachelor's degree in a field other than nursing. The MSN program can be concentrated in Nurse Educator, Nurse Administrator, or Clinical Nurse Leader.

Lewis University

Registered nurses who hold a bachelor's degree in a non-nursing field with certain undergraduate coursework and previous nursing experience may qualify for the MSN program at Lewis University. Students may choose to earn a Master of Science in Nursing with one of the following concentrations: Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner, Family Nurse Practitioner, Healthcare Systems Leadership, or Nursing Education, or School Nurse.

North Park University

Registered nurses with a BA or BS in a field outside of nursing can complete the MSN Pathway program at North Park University. Students can specialize their MSN program in Family Nurse Practitioner, which consists of 62 credits over three years, Primary Care Adult Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (54 hours over three years), or Leadership and Management (37 credit hours over two years).

Olivet Nazarene University

Olivet Nazarene University has a program for registered nurses in which they earn both a BSN and an MSN within three years. Applicants should have a nursing diploma or associate's degree, expect to complete their coursework online (except for clinical practice hours), and can specialize their Master of Science in Nursing in Nursing Education, Nursing Leadership, or Family Nurse Practitioner.

Resurrection University

Registered nurses with a nursing diploma or an associate's degree can earn both a BSN and MSN through Resurrection University's RN to MSN program. The program takes around four years to complete, with the first year and a half consisting of undergraduate courses, and the MSN portion can be specialized in Health Systems Leadership, Adult Gerontological Nurse Practitioner, Family Nurse Practitioner, or Nurse Educator.

Saint Francis Medical Center College of Nursing

Saint Francis Medical Center College of Nursing has an accelerated MSN program for registered nurses who have either a nursing diploma or associate's degree along with a non-nursing bachelor's degree. The program consists of concentration options in Nurse Educator, Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, Family Nurse Practitioner, Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, Nursing Management Leadership, and Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
