Kaplan University's Bachelor of Science in Liberal Studies program gives students with academic credit from a previous program the opportunity to create their own program of study with the help of an advisor. Credits can be transferred from accredited academic programs, military training, or similar types of learning programs.* The Learning Plan includes a career goal statement, class selection, and the selection of one or two focus areas. This program is designed to provide students with a general educational foundation in areas including communication, mathematics, social science, science, and the arts and humanities. Students also have the opportunity to learn about ethics, research methods, and critical thinking. This program culminates in a capstone project.
