Learn how to build a computer and use computer programming languages in a computer engineering technology bachelor's degree program. Find out what courses are necessary to construct circuitry and microprocessor interfaces.

What Does a Computer Engineering Technology Bachelor's Degree Program Entail?

Being a computer engineer means that you know about electronics and how to manually fix computers by replacing computer components. As a computer engineer, you can build a computer and create the software from the ground up. After earning this degree, you may be fully prepared and trained to enter the working world designing, building and repairing computers. Online programs in computer engineering technology aren't typically offered due to the hands-on nature of the courses.

Most computer engineering technology bachelor's degree programs include hands-on training by maintaining and programming computers. Your program may also require you to gain familiarity with various operating systems, including UNIX, Linux and several versions of Microsoft Windows. You can also expect to learn HTML, Java and C++ programming code.
