Where in Minnesota Can I Take Courses in Computer Science?

Find out which schools in Minnesota offer computer science courses. See program requirements and school information from tuition to school type, and determine if obtaining a computer science degree in Minnesota will best suit your academic pursuits.

If computer science is a field that interests you, there are plenty of bachelor's and master's programs available throughout Minnesota for you to choose from, including those at the following four schools.

What You Need to Know

Computer science classes are available through 4-year bachelor's and 2-year master's degree programs in computer science offered through public and private universities. Bachelor's degree programs may require prerequisite coursework before you're admitted to the major. You can expect to take most of your classes in computer science and math to earn this degree; some schools offer internships, too. A capstone project or paper may be required to graduate.

Master's degree applicants typically need to have a bachelor's degree, a minimum GPA and prerequisite classes, GRE scores, a resume, recommendations and an essay. Some schools offer day or evening classes. Programs may offer a thesis and non-thesis option; students who don't complete a thesis generally need to complete a research project. Read on to see if one of these programs is right for you.
