Cosmetology Certificate Programs Near Dallas
Navarro College
Navarro College is a community college with four campuses, including a campus in Waxahachie, TX, about 25 miles from Dallas. On this campus, you can enroll in Navarro's cosmetology certificate program as a part- or full-time student. The program is also offered to high school students. You receive 1,500 hours of instruction in hair cutting and styling, skin care and nail care. By completing this program, you become eligible to take the practical and written exams for cosmetology 'operator' licensure.
This campus also offers a 20-credit nail technologist and 27-credit esthetician (skin care) certificate program. These programs offer more instruction in these areas of specialization than you receive in the 41-credit general cosmetology program.
