What Classes Might I Take?

The courses in an entrepreneurship major are designed to teach you how to plan and research new business ideas, as well as manage the operations of a business once it's been created. The curricula in these programs is sometimes flexible to allow you to focus on a particular area of entrepreneurship that interests you, such as supply chain management, Internet commerce or accounting. Required courses cover subjects such as microeconomics and macroeconomics, marketing, business planning and business ethics. Because these programs are often part of a college's business school, you may also need to complete general business courses in business law and strategy.

Can I Earn this Degree Online?

If you're unable to attend an on-campus program, many accredited colleges and universities offer entrepreneurship programs online. Online degree programs generally teach you the same skills and issue the same degrees as their on-campus counterparts. To complete an online entrepreneurship program, you'll need a computer with Internet access. You'll get assignments and tests online, watch video lectures and participate in class discussions via online forums.

Some schools that don't offer fully online programs may still offer hybrid programs. These programs allow you to complete some courses online, while others require on-campus attendance.
