Fashion Master's Degree Programs in the Minneapolis Area

University of Minnesota - Twin Cities

At the University of Minnesota, the Master of Science (M.S.) and Master of Arts (M.A.) design programs have essentially the same coursework, although there are slight differences in the science and art requirements. Regardless of which degree program you choose, the apparel studies track covers theories and applications involving apparel/textiles. Though you can opt to focus in a specialization, you'll complete a core set of classes centered on ethics, research and theoretical knowledge.

The M.S. and M.A. programs both provide the option to complete a thesis or term paper. The school also offers a doctoral degree in design with an apparel studies track. The research program takes four years to complete and includes many of the same courses as the master's degree options. A dissertation is required to graduate from the doctoral program.
