Are There Any Prerequisites For a Ph.D. in Statistics?

The prerequisites for a Ph.D. in Statistics may differ slightly by school; however, most programs require several semesters of calculus, linear algebra and several mathematical statistics classes. Some courses also require knowledge of computer programming.
