What Is Diversity Studies?

Diversity studies examines human relations by looking at inequalities in gender, age, race, religion, nationality, ethnicity, sexuality, and socioeconomic standing in order to gain an understanding of cultures and human interactions. Many colleges and universities incorporate diversity studies into their liberal arts programs and some offer diversity studies as a major or area of concentration.
