Consisting of 60 semester hours, this degree completion program requires previous college experience, including at least two classes in philosophy, critical thinking or logic. The program focuses on three key areas of philosophy: core analytical philosophy, history of philosophy and values. The curriculum emphasizes courses such as continental philosophy, philosophical in science, moral theory, classical Greek wisdom, modern philosophy and feminist theories. Charter Oak offers courses for the philosophy concentration in value theory, logic, and metaphysics. Charter Oak uses the Blackboard Learn 9.1 online system to present their asynchronous courses and threaded discussions.
