If you'd like to study graphic design in New Mexico, you can do so through one of several public college or university programs offered in fields like media arts, digital graphics technology, art or media arts. You can expect to take classroom and lab classes that allow practice and proficiency in relevant industry software programs. Internship opportunities are common, and they're required at some schools. Associate's degree programs take two years and prepare students for employment or transfer to bachelor's degree programs, which take four years. Associate's Degree Programs in New Mexico

Eastern New Mexico University - Roswell Campus

Eastern New Mexico University - Roswell is situated in a remote setting. The AAS program in media arts covers Photoshop, illustration, digital video editing, page layout and concept development. A practicum is required in your second year. Credits earned in this program transfer into ENMU's Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences program.

Specializations in animation, media arts and design, as well as visual arts, are available as well.
