Kean University

Kean University offers four different master's degree programs for students wanting to study in the field of psychology: Forensic Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, Human Behavior and Organizational Psychology, and Psychological Services. Kean University offers a professional diploma program in school psychology as well.

Rutgers College

Rutgers College offers a Master's of Arts in Psychology program that has two different tracks, a thesis track and a capstone track. Students can get real-world teaching experience through the university's optional Teaching in Psychology coursework.

Princeton University

Students at Princeton University have the option to earn a Ph.D. in Psychology. The Ph.D. program in psychology at Princeton can take upwards of five years to complete, and students are asked to complete a dissertation and defend their dissertation before they will be able to graduate.

Seton Hall University

Seton Hall University offers two graduate programs in psychology: a master's degree program in psychological studies and a Ph.D. program in counseling psychology. Students in the master's degree program will need to complete a total of 36 credits before graduation, where students in the Ph.D. program will need to earn at least 97 credits.

Stockton University

Students at Stockton University can enroll in a Master of Arts in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Forensic Psychology, and this degree will prepare students to work in the criminal justice field in roles like drug treatment caseworker, victim's assistance manager advocate and child protective services specialist. This is a 36-credit program that takes around two years to complete.

Fairleigh Dickinson University

There are both master's degrees and Ph.D. programs at Fairleigh Dickinson University in the field of psychology. The master's degree programs offered at this school include general/theoretical psychology, forensic psychology, and school psychology, while the Ph.D. programs include clinical psychology and school psychology.

Montclair State University

Montclair State University offers master's degree programs in general psychology, industrial and organization psychology, and clinical psychology. Those in the master's program for clinical psychology can choose a concentration in either forensic psychology or child adolescent psychology. Montclair State University also offers a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology that includes six semesters of real-world experience.

New Jersey City University

Students at New Jersey City University can pursue a Master's of Arts in Educational Psychology. New Jersey City University also offers a 65-credit professional diploma program in school psychology that requires students to complete 300 hours of practicum experience.

Caldwell University offers three different dual BA/MA degree programs for students wanting to earn a graduate degree in psychology. Students can work to earn a BA in Psychology and an MA in Counseling, a BA in psychology and an MA in Occupational Therapy, or a BA in Psychology and an MA in Applied Behavior analysis.

College of Saint Elizabeth

The College of Saint Elizabeth offers a master's degree in counseling psychology and a Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) in Counseling Psychology. The Psy.D. includes coursework in psychometrics, the history of psychology and the social aspects of behavior.
