Saybrook University

About Saybrook University

Saybrook University was founded by a group of academics devoted to providing a place of higher learning focused on developing students holistically. Through its two colleges, this school offers both unique programs like transformative social change, integrative and functional nutrition, and integrative wellness coaching, and more standard programs like psychology and counseling.

This small Oakland, California university offers master's and doctoral level programs to its students, and places an emphasis on the development of its students' analytical minds. Although most programs at the school are in a hybrid format, with most coursework being completed online, most students attend a Residential Conference at the beginning of each semester. These conferences seek to foster community between students and faculty and to help students feel more secure and excited about the new semester's courses.
