<h2 id="section---FrequentlyAskedQuestions">Frequently Asked Questions</h2> <h3 id="section---WhatKindOfProgramIsIt">What Kind of Program Is It?</h3> <p>California Baptist University's Master of Public Health (MPH) program gives students the opportunity to learn the skills they need to pursue more advanced positions in the field. The program covers several topics, including epidemiology, disaster preparedness, biostatistics, behavioral science, environmental and occupational health, and public health services management. Students will have the opportunity to learn about various types of public health issues and the communities they could serve, such as those affected by cancer and cardiovascular disease and those affected by substance abuse, to name a few. A core part of the program is focused on learning by experience; students will be given the chance to participate in a public health practice experience in a professional, supervised setting, as well as work on a culminating thesis, exam, or project. </p> <h3 id="section---WhatAreThePrerequisites">What Are the Prerequisites?</h3> <p>While applicants could enter the program with a 2.75 minimum GPA and a bachelor's degree in any field, they will need to demonstrate basic knowledge of statistics and epidemiology, either through work experience or proof of completed courses. All applicants to California Baptist University will need a high school diploma or equivalent.
