<p>When applying to a MBA program, you'll usually need to take the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT), which measures analytical writing, verbal skills and math skills. Applicants with good undergraduate business course grades (3.0 or higher) or extensive executive experience may not need to take the GMAT. The GMAT requirement is usually waived for applicants with a doctoral degree (MD, JD, PhD and the like).

<p>Executive MBA programs are designed for business professionals. They may require a certain level of business experience, and they often request an interview for admission, as well as GMAT scores. While requirements vary, some schools were looking for 5-10 years of professional experience. Many of these schools also wanted to see evidence of career advancement or decision making responsibilities. Some schools might let you take the GMAT in place of a couple years of experience.</p>
