Its construction technology certificate program can educate you on both the technical and managerial aspects of construction. You'll examine such building systems as plumbing, lighting, cooling and electrical. Core courses cover topics in ordinances, small business management and construction documentation as well. Available course topics range from structural construction and framing techniques to siding and drywall. You can also learn how to work with design software, read construction documents and reduce the risk of injury on the job site. Other topics of study include intermediate algebra and composition. A 5-week internship rounds out program requirements.
