Harrisburg Area Community College

Harrisburg Area Community College in central Pennsylvania offers a hybrid paramedic program that combines online lectures with weekly clinical lab sessions. Lab sessions are comprised of hospital and field rotations, which take place at various central Pennsylvania clinical sites. Graduates of either the certificate or associate's degree program are eligible to take the National Registry of EMT-Paramedic (NREMT-P) examination.

Lenoir Community College

Lenoir Community College in Kinston, North Carolina offers two hybrid programs in paramedic training. If you have no prior training or certification, you can complete a 32-week program that includes online courses along with in-person weekend clinical courses. If you're already an EMT-B or AEMT, you can complete a 40-week program that requires on-campus attendance Monday-Thursday during 4 separate weeks. The program also requires the separate purchase of malpractice insurance, textbooks, and uniforms. Successful completion of either program enables you to sit for the NREMT-P or state examination.
