About City College

City College was originally founded in 1984 as a business school offering four diploma programs, but today the school has five campuses and offers 20 degree programs in the medical, business, and legal fields. The private, not-for-profit school has locations in Fort Lauderdale, Miami, Altamonte Springs (Orlando), Hollywood, and Gainesville - and all locations features small class sizes, hands-on training, and flexible schedules.

As a City College student, you'll be able to choose from many different programs, though exact program offerings vary by campus. Some of the program options include associate's degrees in legal assisting, nursing, surgical technology, and broadcasting and bachelor's degrees in management, accounting, and health care administration. In these programs, you'll learn from knowledgeable instructors who have experience in the field they teach, and the programs include curricula developed with industry input. If you enroll in a medical program (such as cardiovascular sonography, emergency medical services, or veterinary technology), you'll learn in special lab classrooms that are include industry-current equipment and designed to simulate the actual working environments for those professions. The business and legal programs also include training with current technologies and equipment.

City College is accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES). The school also has several program-specific accreditations.

Student Testimonials

''City College is an amazing school and the instructors are great. When you're here it's like a big family. It's great to be a part of something bigger than yourself.''

-Devon N., Gainesville Campus Graduate

''Coming back to school in my late 20s, in a completely different field than I had been in for years, City College was the perfect size for me and from day one made me feel comfortable and excited. Two of the things that I loved the most about the program: learning all the skills we do in order to saves lives and the instructors.''

-Greg O., Hollywood Campus Graduate
