Queens University of Charlotte

About Us

Queens University of Charlotte is a private, not-for-profit university that was established in 1857 and operates under a 'students come first' philosophy. This accredited, North Carolina school offers both undergraduate and graduate programs designed to foster a sense of ethics, promote a global perspective, and prepare students for fulfilling lives.

Queens also offers master's degree programs online, which allows students to earn their degree on their own schedule -- around their current personal and professional commitments. Online program options include the Master of Business Administration, Master of Arts in Communication, Master of Arts in Educational Leadership, Master of Health Administration, and Master of Science in Nursing. The MBA program is offered through the university's McColl School of Business, which is accredited by AACSB International; only 5 percent of business schools worldwide have earned this designation. The program includes Finance and Healthcare Management concentrations. The MSN program has three specialization options: Clinical Nurse Leader, Nurse Educator, and Nurse Administrator. The M.A. in Communication includes an Integrated Digital Strategy concentration.

Online students can access their courses through either a computer or mobile device using the school's MyCourses learning management system. Through this site, they can find all their course materials, view lectures, complete assignments, and take tests. Students are also able to communicate with their instructors and cohorts using online community tools, such as discussion boards, shared blogs, and instant messaging. Online students also have access to many of the same support services as on-campus students, including academic advisors, career services, tech support, and library resources.

Student Testimonials

''Because of the smaller class sizes, the faculty were able to tailor their instruction to meet our needs.''

- Dylan Marshall, Queens University of Charlotte graduate

''As soon as I started, I knew it was the right thing to do. My Queens education has opened doors for me. Not only did our professors give us the information and resources to expand our knowledge base, they also challenged us as people and as leaders to really take an introspective look. That is something I didn't expect and has been so valuable.''

- Laura Cassidy, Queens University of Charlotte Graduate
