About Laurus College
Laurus College is a private college that was founded in 2006. Its name is derived from the Latin word for 'success', and the school demonstrates their commitment to success by offering flexible and quality education programs to students looking to start their career. The college currently offers career-focused degrees in five areas:
- Business systems
- Digital arts and computer animation
- Information technologies and network systems
- Web design
- Medical billing and coding
These associate and bachelor's degree programs are offered in a flexible online format that allows you to either log-in from the comfort of your own home or from work stations at one of Laurus' four California campuses. When you sign-in to an asynchronous class, your instructor will be able to see and interact with you though a computer webcam - and you'll also be able to interact with your classmates. You'll also be able to sign on for online labs, to complete your homework, or meet with study groups. As a Laurus student, you'll have the opportunity to receive a laptop that includes all the software you need to complete their program and earn your degree.
Laurus is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools and the Distance Education Accrediting Commission.
