You will have the chance to work with an academic advisor to create your own plan of study consisting of general education, concentration, and elective courses. Electives are taken in areas of science, communications, computer literacy, global perspectives, and personal and social environments. Other general education courses could address ethics, cultural diversity, math, psychology, public speaking, and English composition. This program is offered in an online-only format. </p> <h3 id="section---WhatAreThePrerequisites">What Are the Prerequisites?</h3> <p>You might have already completed an associate degree program before pursuing the Bachelor of General Studies from Baker College. You might possess or have a strong interest in developing oral and written communication skills, basic computer skills, and critical-thinking skills. Though requirements may vary, you should have earned a high school diploma or equivalent. </p> <h3 id="section---WhatAreTheCourseRequirements">What Are the Course Requirements?</h3> <p>You must complete 180 credits to earn the Bachelor of General Studies. The curriculum consists of 72 credit hours in general education requirements and 108 credits in electives and concentration courses.
