The courses are designed to teach you about different research methods and educate you about issues that may arise when working with special needs students. You will also have the chance to select a number of different electives so that you can study more in areas that you find particularly valuable or interesting. To graduate from this program, you will be required to pass a doctoral exam and write and present an applied doctoral dissertation. </p> <h3 id="section---WhatAreThePrerequisites">What Are the Prerequisites?</h3> <p>Based on the sensitive nature of this sort of work and education, you should have a patient way with others and a desire to help people learn. You should already have a background in education that you wish to expand upon and improve through taking these courses. You will be required to have a master's degree prior to applying to this program at National University. </p> <h3 id="section---WhatAreTheCourseRequirements">What Are the Course Requirements?</h3> <p>To graduate from this program you will be required to complete 54 credit hours.
