Several Florida schools offer undergraduate certificate, associate's degree and bachelor's degree programs in broadcasting. Certificate and associate's degree programs in the subject can prepare graduates to work as broadcast technicians or to transfer their credits over to a 4-year bachelor's degree program. These bachelor's programs are often multidisciplinary, and can prepare students for broadcasting careers ranging from technical producer to news anchor. Each of these programs typically requires students to complete hands-on, practical experience in a TV, Web or radio broadcasting environment.

Florida Schools with Certificates in Broadcasting

Hillsborough Community College

Courses in this certificate program include electronic field production, television studio production, news broadcasting and a radio or television internship opportunity. This school also offers certificates in related disciplines, such as video editing and post-production, digital video production and television production. The credits you earn in this certificate program can be applied towards the associate degree program in digital television and media broadcasting at this school.
