Berks Technical Institute

About Berks Technical Institute

Since 1984, when it received its initial accreditation as the Lehigh Data Processing Institute (before changing its name in 1990 after being privately purchased), Berks Technical Institute has been providing hands-on training programs to help both those new to the workforce as well as those seeking to switch careers. As a student here, you'll benefit from the teachings of instructors who have experience in their industries, the opportunity to learn in labs and replicated professional settings, and the ability to enter externships in many programs that allow you to apply what you have learned in real-life situations.

You can be awarded a diploma, an Associate in Specialized Business, or Associate in Specialized Technology, depending on your course of study. Want to train for a career in business accounting, marketing, or human resources? You can learn the basic concepts in BTI's associate degree program in business administration. Interested in a career in health care, maybe medical assisting or dental assisting? These programs combine classroom and lab studies as well as externships at hospitals, health systems, or dental offices. See yourself as a civil or architectural drafter? You'll learn how to use industry software and build an understanding of design techniques and apply those skills in a 220-hour externship.

Berks Technical Institute believes that everyone has their own career path and is dedicated to helping you find yours. In the words of BTI, 'We are Focused on Your Success!'

Student Testimonial

''I could go to any instructor and they would help me like I'm the only student here. I have more confidence and now I have the power to take care of my son and just conquer the world.''

- Rosemarie B., BTI Graduate
